A few decades ago, in response to an ever-changing marketplace, the Limoneira Company embarked on an aggressive search for alternative specialty citrus varieties that would appeal to changing North American and worldwide tastes. Limoneira has become a leader in the niche production and sales of varieties such as mandarins, blood oranges, gigantic Pummelos, Cara Cara Navels, pink and red grapefruit and many others. The company oversees 400 acres of these special crops and carefully monitors their market. We believe that these products will continue to increase in popularity and will, in a few short years, create a citrus rainbow of colors and flavors.
