Santa Paula, CA – July 24, 2007- Limoneira Company, the farming, food and real estate firm that has been headquartered in Santa Paula for 114 years, today opened “The Pavilion,” a community gathering place that will provide information about the vision for Santa Paula East Area I and host events designed to stimulate discussions about the city’s future.

“The most exciting thing about The Pavilion is that it tells the story of Santa Paula, from its roots as a rural farming community to its place in the global agricultural marketplace,” said Limoneira Company President and Chief Executive Officer Harold Edwards. “Limoneira has been a part of the history of this great city and today we are identifying new opportunities to help Santa Paula prosper.”

Located off Highway 126 at Hallock Drive, The Pavilion features a pictorial timeline that vividly illustrates the community’s rich past and Limoneira’s involvement in the city’s development for more than a century. Limoneira has proposed developing Santa Paula East Area I, as envisioned by the city’s general plan, to include residential, recreational, educational, and commercial opportunities for Santa Paula residents.

The Pavilion will host a series of community events and programs designed to discuss the most important issues facing Santa Paulans.

“As we continue to develop ideas for what to do with Santa Paula East Area I, we realized the need to create a venue where Santa Paulans could come, sit down, and talk about the issues that are important to us as a community,” Edwards said. “We look forward to The Pavilion becoming a gathering place, where we exchange information and ideas about the possibilities for East Area I and Santa Paula.”
