Limoneira hosts Economic Development Leaders on September 17th
Limoneira hosted the Boards of The EDC-VC (Economic Development Collaborative Ventura County) and VCEDA (Ventura County Economic Development Association) at a reception at Limoneira’s new Visitor Center on September 17th. Michael Manchak, President and CEO of the EVC (Economic Vitality Corporation of San Luis Obispo County gave a presentation on the Green Coast Initiative.
With a sharp focus on the attraction, retention and expansion of businesses in Ventura County, the Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County (EDC-VC) works to maintain the county’s economic health and vitality. A regional public/private economic development organization, the EDC-VC delivers programs that promote jobs and economic growth, and raise overall productivity and incomes.
Established in 1949 and recognized as a credible political force, VCEDA's mission is to advocate for policies, legislation and programs that stimulate business and a vital economy as the foundation for a vibrant quality of life in Ventura County. VCEDA gives members an opportunity to interact with Ventura County's civic, corporate, small business and government leaders for a voice in planned, quality growth.
San Luis Obispo’s Economic Vitality Corporation is the primary provider of economic development services and business resources in San Luis Obispo County and each of its seven cities. Funded by local private and public sectors, sponsors of the EVC are used to help support the mission, including helping to start and grow businesses in the County.
