Plum & Orange Crumble
Late summer plums, tart sweet Limoneira® oranges, and spicy ginger and cinnamon combine in this delectable update on a classic dessert. It’s easy to make, and the leftovers are as good at lunch the next day as they were for dessert at dinner.

Fruit Filling
- 4 cups fresh plums halved and stoned
- 1 Limoneira® orange zest & juice
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
Crumble
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup butter cold & cubed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
Fruit Filling
Measure the sugar, cinnamon and ginger into a small bowl and toss together to blend
Add the plums, orange juice and zest to a large bowl. Blend with the sugar and spices to coat evenly.
Transfer the fruit mixture into a glass baking dish or casserole.
Crumble
Measure the flour, cinnamon and ginger into a bowl. Cut in the butter with two knives, or use a processor. It should look coarse and mealy.
Add the sugar, and continue to cut into the mix.
Sprinkle over the fruit in the baking dish as evenly as you can.
Bake in the oven for about 30 minute, until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling hot.
