Limoneira hosts the California Agriculture Teacher’s Association (CATA)
Limoneira welcomed The California Agriculture Teacher’s Association (CATA) members to its new visitor center at Limoneira Ranch. CATA provides support and development opportunities for California agriculture teachers as well as advocating on behalf of these teachers at the state level in Sacramento. The BBQ dinner provided an opportunity for Limoneira to highlight it’s sustainability practices and let teachers tour Limoneira’s solar orchard.
“Limoneira has always been a partner to Santa Paula High School and it’s Ag program. When I saw their new Visitor Center, I knew this was the perfect place to host our annual CATA meeting” says Alex Flores, this years Regional CATA Vice-President for the South Coast Region. “Ag is an important economic driver for Ventura County and it’s great to have educators and companies like Limoneira collaborating to keep local Ag vital. Limoneira’s new solar orchard is amazing”
